The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), through its Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has embarked on a new phase of global collaboration by partnering with the Kyushu Institute of Technology in Japan. This partnership was formalized through a Letter of Intent (LoI) aimed at enhancing international academic exchanges and joint research endeavors.
The collaboration offers lecturers and academic staff expanded opportunities to broaden their international networks and augment their expertise and capacity in environmental engineering and technology. The primary objective is to establish a sustainable partnership that fosters knowledge sharing and continuous academic development.
As part of this initiative, a research group meeting was convened to deliberate on future collaborations and joint innovations to address environmental challenges. This session provided both institutions with a platform to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and lay the foundation for impactful cooperation.
Through this partnership, Unhas and the Kyushu Institute of Technology envisage a long-term collaboration that will empower students and researchers while contributing solutions to pressing global sustainability and environmental management issues.
