The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), successfully co-organized the International Conference of Mechanical Engineering Research (ICMER 2025), which took place on 6–7 August 2025 at The Pearl Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This esteemed event was conducted in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Pahang Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) and convened researchers, academics, and industry experts from diverse nations to exchange advancements and innovations in mechanical and automotive engineering. Representing Unhas, Dr. Muhammad Syahid, ST., MT., played an active role in coordinating sessions and discussions encompassing a broad spectrum of topics, including sustainable energy systems, advanced manufacturing, and materials technology.

The collaboration highlighted the robust partnership between Unhas and UMPSA, reflecting their mutual dedication to advancing global research and innovation in mechanical engineering. By co-organizing ICMER 2025, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Unhas continues to fortify its international engagement and bolster its reputation as a significant contributor to the global engineering research community. This accomplishment further reinforces Unhas' vision to foster impactful collaborations that address technological and industrial challenges in Southeast Asia and beyond.
