
On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), through its Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, successfully organized the International Symposium UNHAS–UTM on Infrastructure Engineering. This virtual event convened academics and professionals to exchange insights on the future of infrastructure development.
Among the distinguished speakers was Associate Professor Dr. Zurairahetty Binti Mohd Yunus, Head of the Department of Geotechnics and Transportation at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). In her presentation, she addressed significant challenges and advancements in geotechnical and transportation engineering, highlighting the critical importance of sustainable and resilient infrastructure to support rapid urban development.
