The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Hasanuddin successfully organized the inaugural International Conference on Research and Innovations in Informatics and Engineering Technology (RITECH 2025) on September 6–7, 2025. Conducted in a hybrid format from Swiss-Belhotel Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, the conference convened esteemed academics, researchers, and practitioners from across the globe.

The conference featured keynote and invited presentations by esteemed scholars, including Prof. Patrick Oliver, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sudip Roy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chong Yung Wei, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suryanegara, ST., M.Sc., IPU. These experts provided valuable insights into the latest trends and challenges in the fields of informatics, engineering technology, and innovation. The event was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ir. Indrabayu, ST., MT., M.Bus.Sys., IPM, ASEAN Eng., who represented the Faculty of Engineering at Unhas.

As the inaugural edition, RITECH 2025 functioned as a global platform for researchers to exchange ideas, present pioneering work, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. With participation from multiple countries and institutions, the event not only strengthened academic partnerships but also positioned Makassar as an emerging center for international discourse on informatics and engineering technology.

The successful launch of RITECH 2025 establishes a foundation for future conferences that will continue to advance the frontiers of research and innovation, while reinforcing Universitas Hasanuddin’s commitment to global academic excellence.
