The first Faculty Meeting for SOI Asia’s EBA Project took place on November 23rd and 24th, 2023, at Keio University, Japan. The EBA Project, aligning with SOI Asia's mission, focuses on evidence-based educational programs to contribute to a resilient future society in the Asia Pacific region. The meeting, attended by 28 participants from 17 universities and institutions, emphasized collaboration improvement and discussed topics such as curriculum design, operational schemes, and community building. Special attention was given to intensifying collaboration between partner universities in developing a fieldwork-centric curriculum, aiming to cultivate essential skills for practical fieldwork and effective teamwork. The meeting underscored the importance of intensive communication among faculties to synchronize educational efforts, share best practices, and maintain a dynamic curriculum responsive to evolving challenges. The faculty members committed to strengthening collaboration through ongoing dialogue and knowledge exchange.
