The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) conducted an academic visit to the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) from August 3 to 9, 2025, in Selangor, Malaysia. Represented by Prof. Dr. Eng. Jalaluddin, ST., MT., the visit aimed to explore opportunities for joint research, knowledge exchange, and academic collaboration in the field of renewable and solar energy technologies.
The discussions were warmly received by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Adnan Ibrahim and researchers from SERI, highlighting shared interests in advancing clean energy innovation across Indonesia and Malaysia. Throughout the visit, both institutions deliberated on potential frameworks for future cooperation, including collaborative research projects, student mobility programs, and joint publications, all centered on promoting sustainable energy development.
The dialogue underscored Unhas’ growing role in Southeast Asia’s transition toward renewable energy systems and climate resilience. This initiative not only strengthened the partnership between Unhas and UKM but also reaffirmed the Faculty of Engineering’s commitment to fostering global collaboration in science and technology for a sustainable future.
