Gowa, February 18, 2026 — The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University has once again welcomed international students for the Master’s (S2) program from China, particularly in the field of Informatics Engineering. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the internationalization of education and enhance academic quality through global collaboration.
The admitted students will pursue studies in the Informatics Engineering program within the Faculty of Engineering. The presence of these international students is expected to contribute positively to the development of a more diverse, open, and internationally competitive academic environment.
The welcoming ceremony was personally attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER. Also present at the occasion was Dr. Amil Ahmad Ilham, S.T., M.IT., who also received congratulations on his inauguration as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and Innovation at the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering expressed his hope that the admitted students would adapt well to the academic environment and actively participate in learning and research activities. He also emphasized the importance of cross-cultural collaboration as part of efforts to enhance the quality of education at the global level.
The admission of international students also marks an important milestone for the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University in expanding international cooperation networks, particularly with educational institutions in China, and in promoting innovation through the exchange of knowledge and experience.
