Gowa, February 14, 2026 — The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University once again demonstrates its commitment to expanding its international network by welcoming international Master’s (S2) students from China. On this occasion, seven students have been officially admitted to continue their studies in various programs within the Faculty of Engineering.
The admitted students consist of two in the field of Informatics, three in Electrical Engineering, and two in Industrial Engineering. Their presence is part of the faculty's efforts towards the internationalization of education and the enhancement of academic quality through cultural and knowledge exchange.
The welcoming ceremony took place within the Faculty of Engineering and was personally attended by the Vice Dean for Partnerships, Research, and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng., together with the Vice Dean for Planning, Resources, and Alumni, Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Rusman, M.T. In their remarks, the faculty expressed their hope that the students would adapt well and actively contribute to academic and research activities throughout their studies.
This event also marks an important milestone in strengthening educational collaboration between Hasanuddin University and educational institutions in China. With the presence of international students, it is expected that a more dynamic, inclusive, and globally competitive academic environment will be fostered.
Through the admission of these international students, the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University hopes to further enhance its active role on the international educational stage and create sustainable collaborations in research and innovation.
