The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University has once again accepted international students as part of its efforts to strengthen international networks and enhance the quality of higher education. On this occasion, three students from Timor Leste have been officially admitted to continue their studies, consisting of two Master's (S2) students and one Doctoral (S3) student in the field of Civil Engineering.

The presence of these students from Timor Leste is part of the Faculty of Engineering's efforts to foster an inclusive and globally-oriented academic environment. Additionally, this program helps strengthen educational cooperation between Hasanuddin University and friendly nations in the Southeast Asian region.

The welcoming and admission ceremony was conducted directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER, on March 8, 2026. In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in pursuing education at the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, and hoped that the students would be able to adapt well and actively participate in both academic and research activities.

Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering also emphasized the importance of cross-country collaboration in the development of science and technology, particularly in the field of Civil Engineering, which plays a strategic role in infrastructure development.

With the admission of international students from Timor Leste, the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the internationalization of education, while also creating opportunities for sustainable collaboration in academics, research, and innovation.
