The Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) hosted a Guest Lecture titled “Eight Key Ideas in Computer Architecture from Eight Decades of Innovation” on 22 October 2025, held at Lecture Theater 2, CSA Building, Faculty of Engineering.

The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Behrooz Parhami from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), United States, and was hosted by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Faizal A. Samman from Universitas Hasanuddin. The session provided a comprehensive overview of the evolution of computer architecture, highlighting fundamental ideas that have shaped computing systems over the past eight decades.
