In an effort to strengthen academic networks and improve the quality of engineering education at the global level, the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) conducted an academic visit to the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, on May 15-18, 2025. This activity was part of the EBA Faculty Meeting 2025 and was also an important moment in the discussion of the initiation of a Double Degree program between the two faculties.

The visit was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM, ASEAN Eng., who was warmly welcomed by the host at the Hall of Fame, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. The meeting was productive, with discussions on academic collaboration opportunities including student exchanges, research collaboration, joint teaching, and the implementation of a Double Degree program that will provide students with the opportunity to study at two renowned universities in Asia.

Through this initiative, the Faculty of Engineering at Unhas demonstrates its commitment to continuously adapting to global developments and preparing graduates who are internationally competitive. This meeting is also part of an academic outbound program, which aims to broaden horizons, build institutional relationships, and strengthen Unhas' position in international education and research collaboration.

This strategic step is expected to be the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering at Unhas and Chulalongkorn University, which will not only strengthen the position of both institutions in the fields of engineering and research, but also have a positive impact on the development of science and technology in the global arena.
