On August 4–5, 2025, students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), undertook an international academic visit to the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) in Malaysia.

This visit, under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Syahid, ST., MT., was designed to expand students' academic and professional horizons through direct engagement with international learning environments and cross-institutional interactions. During the visit, Unhas students engaged in discussions, laboratory observations, and interactive sessions with UMPSA faculty and students, concentrating on innovations in automotive and mechanical engineering.

This initiative served as a platform to strengthen academic collaboration, enhance student mobility, and foster mutual understanding between the two institutions. It also exemplified Unhas' ongoing efforts to internationalize its engineering education and prepare students for global challenges in technology and industry. The collaboration between Unhas and UMPSA is anticipated to facilitate future initiatives in joint research, internships, and student exchange programs, thereby supporting the Faculty of Engineering's mission to cultivate a globally competitive academic community.
