In an effort to strengthen collaboration between academia and the global industry in the field of Electric Vehicles (EV), the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University conducted an exploratory industrial cooperation visit to Green Motor Technology, located in Foshan, Guangdong Province, China, on December 4, 2025. The visit was attended by the Electric Vehicle Development Team of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Syamsul Bahri, M.Si., IPU., ASEAN.Eng., CGRCOP., CACP., and accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN.Eng., along with lecturers and supporting team members.

This exploratory visit aimed to identify potential strategic collaborations in electric vehicle technology development, applied research, and human resource capacity building in line with future industrial demands. During the meeting, representatives of Green Motor Technology presented the company profile, electric motor technology development, battery systems, and the implementation of automation and digitalization in electric vehicle manufacturing processes. The delegation also conducted an on-site tour of Green Motor Technology’s production facilities and research units. This visit provided valuable insights into advanced manufacturing practices, high-efficiency production systems, and the application of sustainable principles within the electric vehicle industry.

Through this visit, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin, expects to establish long-term collaboration with Green Motor Technology, particularly in the areas of industry-based curriculum development, student internship programs, collaborative research, and potential technology transfer in electric vehicle innovation. This activity reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin, to promoting environmentally friendly technologies and advancing education and research toward Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0, while simultaneously strengthening international partnerships in the electric vehicle sector.
