Makassar, May 9, 2025 — On Friday, May 9, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) hosted representatives from Huayou Indonesia and PT Vale Indonesia. This visit constituted an initial step in the proposed collaborative program between Huayou and Unhas, which aims to offer scholarships and establish vocational training classes.

The visit commenced with a tour of the Geological Engineering Building, during which the delegation examined the facilities and observed the ongoing academic and research activities within various laboratories. This tour provided valuable insights into the capabilities and potential areas for collaboration in the fields of geoscience and engineering.

Following the tour, representatives from the Faculty of Engineering, Huayou Indonesia, and PT Vale Indonesia engaged in a discussion session. The dialogue centered on prospective academic collaborations, including scholarship programs, the development of vocational education curricula, and the enhancement of industry-academia synergy.

This visit marked a significant advancement in fortifying the partnership between academia and industry, particularly in the context of supporting human resource development and applied engineering education in Indonesia.
