As part of a visiting program at Saga University in Japan, the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) engaged in a specialized lecture entitled "Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Research in Indonesia: Cases from Universitas Hasanuddin." The lecture was delivered by Mishima Yuichiro, a lecturer at Saga University, and was coordinated by Dr. Tri Harianto from the Department of Civil Engineering at Unhas. This event occurred on May 29, 2025, at the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Saga University.
The session underscored the distinctive challenges faced by Indonesia in the field of civil engineering and introduced innovative, research-driven solutions. Through the examination of case studies, participants gained insights into how local environmental factors impact infrastructure planning and engineering practices.
Beyond the academic exchange, the program enhanced the collaboration between Unhas and Saga University, fostering mutual understanding and reinforcing Unhas's commitment to contributing to international discourse on sustainable infrastructure development. These activities also broaden Unhas's global engagement, offering faculty and students opportunities to access international academic experiences and expertise.
