Recently, the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University hosted a delegation from the Netherlands to explore potential collaborations in maritime affairs. This visit represents a significant step toward enhancing academic and research cooperation between the two institutions.

During the visit, the Dutch representatives engaged with the leadership of the Engineering faculty and were briefed on ongoing programs and research initiatives related to maritime technology and development. Additionally, three department heads with a focus on maritime studies participated in the meeting, providing insights into the faculty’s capabilities, infrastructure, and strategic vision for future collaboration.

Both parties expressed a strong interest in establishing joint research projects, facilitating student and staff exchanges, and engaging in knowledge-sharing activities centered on sustainable maritime innovation and capacity building.

This visit underscores the growing international interest in Indonesia’s maritime sector and exemplifies Hasanuddin University’s commitment to fostering global partnerships that advance education and innovation in marine engineering and related disciplines.
