Since 2017, Hasanuddin University and Toyohashi University of Technology have engaged in international collaboration through a twinning program. This initiative includes the Master’s Programs of Architecture and Master’s Programs of Urban and Regional Planning at Hasanuddin University, alongside the Master’s Program of Architecture and Civil Engineering at Toyohashi University of Technology. On July 17, 2026, two master's students, Adhi Nauval Hafizh Thaha (Master's Program of Architecture) and Khairul Rafliansyah Sadikin (Master's Program of Urban and Regional Planning), successfully passed the selection process for participation in the program, which will be conducted from October 2026 to September 2027. Through this initiative, they will complete the second year of their master's studies at the Toyohashi University of Technology.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Dr Ir. Ar. H. Edward Syarif, S.T., M.T., IAI., the Vice Dean for Planning and Resources, representing the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, along with Dr. Eng. Ir. Asniawaty, S.T., M.T., Head of the Master’s Programs of Architecture, conducted an official departure session for Adhi Nauval Hafizh Thaha. Furthermore, on Monday, September 28, 2026, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, ST., MT., IPM. AER., together with Dr. Eng. Ihsan, S.T., M.T., Head of the Urban and Regional Planning Department, and Marly Valenti Patandianan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Head of the Master’s Programs of Urban and Regional Planning, conducted the official departure session for Khairul Rafliansyah Sadikin.

At Toyohashi University of Technology, two students from the Master’s Program of Architecture, Andi Luthfia Amalya Achsan and Andi Ratu Walang, engaged in the Twinning Program from October 2025 to September 2026. They successfully completed their final examinations for the Master's Program of Architecture and Civil Engineering on Monday, August 17, 2026. Subsequently, both students attended the graduation ceremony at Toyohashi University of Technology on Friday, September 25, 2026.
