The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) was among the select higher education institutions invited to engage in the Immigration Socialization on Bridging Visa Services, orchestrated by the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, South Sulawesi. This event transpired on Thursday, 21 August 2025, at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Makassar.

The primary aim of this socialization was to disseminate crucial information and offer guidance concerning the Visit Stay Permit for Transition Purposes (Bridging Visa) for foreign nationals residing in Indonesia. The gathering included representatives from various foreign enterprises and universities in Makassar that accommodate international staff and students.

Throughout the session, attendees were provided with in-depth explanations of the new immigration policies, procedures, and implementation mechanisms of the Bridging Visa, which are intended to facilitate smoother transitions for foreign residents during permit changes.
