The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin, participated in the 43rd Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO), which was held in the Philippines from 26 to 30 October 2025. This prestigious regional conference brought together engineering professionals, academics, policymakers, and representatives of engineering institutions from across ASEAN to discuss strategic issues related to engineering practice, education, accreditation, and sustainable development in the region.

Universitas Hasanuddin was represented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, ST., MT., IPM. and Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Rusman, ST., MT., who actively engaged in various conference sessions, plenary discussions, and networking activities. Their participation provided valuable opportunities to exchange perspectives on emerging engineering challenges, regional collaboration frameworks, and best practices in advancing engineering competencies and professional standards.

Through its involvement in the 43rd AFEO Conference, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin, further strengthened its regional presence and international engagement. This participation not only reinforces Unhas’s commitment to contributing to the advancement of engineering within ASEAN, but also opens pathways for future collaboration, knowledge exchange, and joint initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and impact of engineering education and practice across member countries.
