Gowa, May 20, 2025 — The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FT Unhas) recently hosted a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to assess the progress of the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering Development Project (JICA Loan IP-541). The primary objectives of the visit were to evaluate previous assistance and explore potential avenues for future collaboration.

The JICA delegation included Akeda Sachiko, Head of JICA in Indonesia; Tozawa Ayuka, JICA Representative for Indonesia; and Tozawa Ayuka, Person in Charge of JICA Regional Development in Indonesia. They were warmly received by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM, ASEAN Eng., along with other faculty leaders.

The meeting was convened at the Center of Technology (CoT) building within the Faculty of Engineering at Unhas. The event featured a presentation highlighting the facilities and achievements of the Faculty of Technology (FT) at Unhas, followed by a laboratory tour to observe the infrastructure developed through previous collaborative projects.

This visit underscores the ongoing commitment between FT Unhas and JICA to enhance international collaboration and advance the quality of engineering education and research in Indonesia.
